If your car is more than three-years-old, the law states it requires an MOT test. Failure to do could cost you a £1,000 penalty, mean you can’t renew your road tax and almost certainly invalidate your car insurance.
The MOT’s purpose is to check a car’s safety and roadworthiness, its brakes and emissions.
It’s necessary for all vehicles 3 years and older
It includes an extensive list of internal and external checks
This is a visual check only: examiners are not allowed to change or remove anything on your car, which is why you still need to keep on top of servicing.
Our charge for an annual MOT is £54.85.
